"As soon as we stepped foot in BRX I knew it was the one for us!"

Mark and Tara, originally from Ireland had imagined moving far out of London in order to afford a home of their own.  They stumbled across BRX and viewed the development a couple of times before reserving a home. Mark adds: “Without Help to Buy we would have to move to a location unknown area further afield. Now we can live in a location that we love – which is already familiar to us and suits our social lives.

“As well as being in a perfect location for us with a straightforward commute, BRX is a really well furnished development and offers a high specification, which set it apart from anything else we viewed. We definitely feel we are getting value for money here compared to the other properties we had seen, and Dexter’s have been great in helping us to buy our first property.”

The pair purchased a one bedroom apartment on the fifth floor with a balcony and far stretching views of the city for £485,000. Mark, 27, and Tara, 28, are happy to wait until early 2020 before moving in, as they say they now have a home in the best location, one they first thought they could not even afford. Mark, a commercial gas consultant, comments: “At first we were looking everywhere and anywhere, without nailing a location. It was more about what we could afford. However, when we started looking at London Help to Buy, we felt it made more sense for our situation and it helped us to top up our savings.”

Mark and Tara are both looking forward to having their own space and owning a wine cooler! Tara adds: “As soon as we stepped foot in BRX I knew it was the one for us. Knowing we are about to become homeowners is so exciting and we couldn’t of done it without London’s Help to buy.”
